2021/22 Scholarship Recipients

News Release: 2021/22 scholarship recipients

December 21, 2021: Lacombe, AB – Three future agriculture leaders are one step closer to achieving their career dreams this Christmas season.
This week, the Alberta Seed Processors announced three official recipients of its 2021/22 SEED SMART scholarships – one more than was originally planned, says ASP President Tom Coppock
“Nurturing the next generation of agriculture leaders in our province is one of the most important things that we can do to secure the future of our industry,” he says. “This year, we had so many impressive applications that the board of directors decided to award one additional scholarship.”
Each year, ASP offers two scholarships, valued at $1,000 each, granted based on a combination of accomplishments which include; but are not restricted to, academic and non-academic, volunteerism, and personal achievements. Applicants must be Canadian citizens enrolled in a Canadian post-secondary institute, with preference given to those studying agriculture- based programs in Alberta.
