The Blackie Seed Cleaning Co-op located in Blackie Alberta is currently seeking a self-motivated, confident individual to fill the position of Seed Plant Manager. This position requires candidates with both physical dexterity as well as management capabilities. The ideal candidate is a self-motivated highly organized problem solver that has excellent verbal and written communication skills in English and has a basic working knowledge of simple software programs that could include Microsoft office products, and possible accounting software.
Depending upon business volumes, the ability to effectively manage seasonal employees is also a requirement. As this position is physically demanding, the ideal candidate must be in good physical condition, mechanically inclined, and possess a minimum of a valid class 5 driver’s license. In addition to knowledge of grains and pulse crops, the desire for constant professional development would be an asset.

In addition to knowledge of grains and pulse crops, a pesticide applicator’s license and the desire for constant professional development would be an asset.
